But the true magic lies within the built-in radar sensor: it does not just register motion, but even detects if someone is sitting still or sleeping inside the camper, while measuring the exact distance to the sensor.   • Advanced mmWave Radar (No Simple PIR): Instead of an outdated passive infrared (PIR) motion detector, this module utilizes microwave radar technology. This allows the system to detect true ‘presence’ rather than just ‘motion’. Even if you are sitting completely still reading a book on the couch or fast asleep, the system knows you are there.
  • Climate & Light Sensor: Equipped with a premium Swiss Sensirion climate chip for highly reliable temperature and humidity measurements, as well as a digital light sensor that registers the exact light intensity (Lux) inside the camper.
  • Industrial Modbus Connection (Long-Range & Reliable): No hassle with dying batteries or interference-prone Wi-Fi connections. Thanks to the upgrade to a powerful ESP chip, this module communicates via a wired Modbus connection. While traditional I2C sensors must remain close to the Master Unit, the robust Modbus protocol allows you to position this sensor much further away and anywhere in the camper, without any risk of signal loss or interference.
  • Zoning and Positioning: Because the sensor transmits the exact distance in centimeters every 250ms, it goes far beyond simple motion detection. By combining two or (ideally) three of these Multi-Sensors at strategic locations in the camper, you can use mathematical trilateration in Home Assistant to pinpoint the exact position of a person within the space.
